OEA Awards @ Harrah’s Casino: 2.13.11
A couple hundred people were on hand at the convention center inside Harrah’s Casino in Council Bluffs to celebrate the 5th annual Omaha Arts and Entertainment Awards. Racking up its fair share of technical difficulties, the nearly three hour-long ceremony (seriously) was hosted by local radio personality Tom Becka and featured performances by local musicians, dance troupes and slam poets. There was free popcorn for guests as well. Beers were something like $4.50 a pop. For a more in depth take on the night check out the cover story from this week’s Omaha Reader.
