It’s True @ The Waiting Room: 4.1.11

It’s True made quite the splash by playing their first show since summer of 2010. Let’s see, first they sold out the Waiting Room. Second they released “another afterlife,” a follow-up to their locally-lauded debut. (And the word is justice was done with the new disc; just read the Hear Nebraska review.) Third, the other three bands who played were totally worthy of headlining the show in their own right: Cowboy Indian Bear (Lawrence, KS), The Haunted Windchimes (Pueblo, CO) and Noah’s Ark Was A Spaceship (Omaha). A damn fine, well thought-out and put together show, no doubt. Other bands should take note — it takes more than a few good songs to become popular.

After leaving his post as managing editor at an Omaha alt-weekly in 2010, Will decided that everything he does career-wise from now on must involve music or writing and hopefully both. He's currently the editor at Omahype, an amateur cartoonist and also plays in rock 'n' roll bands.
