2012 New Year’s Resolutions: Part VI
Part VI of our 2012 New Year’s Resolutions series brings us a list from Shane Bainbridge, the creative/principal at The New BLK, a creative think tank that’s home of a dedicated team of some of Omaha’s brightest and most creative people who also are spearheading the monthly Omaha First Friday event on top of running one of the most innovative commercial art galleries/spaces in the city.
Phew. Anyway, here’s Shane’s list:
…
1. Teach my son, Finn, to swim, read, and skateboard before the year’s end.
2. Begin my switch from car to bike. By spring I hope to commute to work via bicycle at least 3 days a week.
3. Take Finn back to Ireland, his birthplace, for an extended stay to re-establish his ties to his Irish family.
4. Make at least one visit back to NYC for soul re-invigoration.
5. Grow The New BLK Gallery into a more socially conscious organization that is more widely representative of all the arts.
6. Continue to establish, grow and evolve The New BLK both here and nationally. End the year with a stronger, more vibrant, more unique, and more relevant organization than the one of 2011.

Well said—on all parts—Shane!
Happy Birthday, BTW!
