New Video: “Our New Favorite” by Crooked Fingers
Crooked Fingers, a North Carolina-based folk outfit led by former Archers of Loaf frontman Eric Bachmann, released a video in anticipation of their upcoming appearance at SXSW in Austin this March. The track comes from their 2011 Merge release Breaks in Armor.
A press release from Merge declares this James Fleischel edited/directed video “beautifully illustrates the feelings of impermanence and connectedness suggested by the song by capturing and slowing down the fleeting moments of everyday life.” Or something. In other words, it’s slow and folky and melancholy — true Crooked Fingers form. (For those who don’t remember, Eric Bachmann released a 2006 solo album on Saddle Creek called To the Races.)
