MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20th
- Don’t miss: The latest installment of the Encyclopedia Show (with topic-at-hand being dinosaurs) is happening at the Omaha Community Playhouse.
- Meanwhile, Krug Park in Benson hosts Beer School, where attendees learn about the chemistry and shit behind their beer.
- Old standby: The Barley Street Tavern hosts its weekly singer-songwriter open mic, hosted by Justin Neal.
- Funny business: Duffy’s Tavern in Lincoln hosts their weekly comedy workshop.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21st

- Educate yourself: Film Streams screen “American Teacher,” which looks at the lives of four teachers in the US.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd
- Papa Chris’ Chicago Originals hosts a Turntable.fm party (every Thursday).
- The Waiting Room sees the return of GUNK — live DJs, VJs, dancing and a “Fresh Prince” theme to wrap it all up nicely.
- Design: Get a little insight from self-trained graphic designer Bill Thorburn at Mutual of Omaha.

- Caleb Coppock’s “Sound Drawings” exhibit opens and Peerless Gallery at Midtown Crossing, blending visual art with aural installation.
- Just dance: GOO hosts another epic dance part at House of Loom, with the theme celebrating NYC’s underground gay disco clubs of the late ’70s, all the while spreading awareness for Omaha’s upcoming Equal Employment Ordinance public hearing.
- Hip-hop inlined group We Be Lions headline at the Waiting Room.
- Meanwhile, LA-based rockers Hurt are over at Slowdown.
- Go see “Fight Club” at the Dundee Theatre (Midnight Movie), you puts.
- Moses Prey team up with Boring Daylights (Sarah Benck) at the Barley Street Tavern in Benson.

- Hey Joslyn Art Museum is free to the public (10 a.m.-noon) and they have that awesome new mummy exhibit.
- House of Loom hosts a no frills night of dance music, featuring Brent Crampton behind the DJ booth.
- Get to House of Loom early to learn how to (Argentine) tango.
- Rock Paper Dynamite headline a solid-as-hell lineup of local rock music at the Waiting Room.
- Meanwhile, Lincoln’s The Sleepover (catchy, indie pop/rock) headline a show at Slowdown.
- “Fight Club” is the Midnight Movie at the Dundee Theatre.
- Bring mom: Go see Doc Severinsen at the Holland Center.
- Bring your kid brother: The Sandbox hosts a fundraiser to help it update its facilities, featuring music by Verendus, Drowning in the Platte and more.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26th
