G.Love may be new to the music but he has some heavy hitters in his corner, the Avett Brothers. After meeting and playing together at a summer festival, G.Love and the Avetts realized that they shared a love for homegrown country. And when G.Love asked the brothers to play on his record, Fixin’ To Die, and produce it, they obliged. Not bad.

While the Avett Brothers won’t be with him, (but they’ll be in Lincoln in April) G.Love  and his boys (Special Sauce) will be bringing his Americana songs to the Slowdown. It’s a night that is sure to make you wish you took up the banjo.

Opening for G.Love is Scott H. Biram, a downhome Texas guy who combines blues, rock, and country into one hell of a sound.
