“Readiness is All” by Ying Zhu
Bemis Center artist-in-residence Ying Zhu, who was born in China and has been Nebraska-based for several years now (with an MFA from UNL to boot), unveils “Readiness is All” at Peerless Gallery at Midtown Crossing as part of Omaha First Friday celebrations. In addition to Zhu’s work, there will also be a video installation by Alex Meyers.
About Ying Zhu’s “Readiness is All” (via Facebook invite):
Ying explores the idea of comfort. Through the incorporation of familiar settings and objects, this installation emphasizes contradictions between the well-intended idea of comfort and the outcome of reality.
