  1. 49 Hypes makes next Monday, Week 50, a milestone. Ever since the launch party at last year's Holiday Throwdown, I've looked to your site as a beacon for arts in our community. You have my gratitude because your recommendations led me to a lot of first experiences in 2011.
If I may suggest a song or two, Fear's "Another Christmas Beer," Garfunkel And Oates' "End of Year Letter," and sides A and B of The Mynabirds' "All I Want Is Truth (for Christmas)." "Year End Letter" is a little obscure, but it was performed live on The Tonight Show. Here's a link in case A.Y.G.A.M.G is down. http://vimeo.com/8192170

  2. Garfunkel And Oates have "Year End Letter" available as a free download on their web site at http://www.garfunkelandoates.com/music/ . Their song "Fu*k You" is pretty great, too.

  3. OMG. She played BOTH of those songs. Holy Crap. Merry Christmas. I love you. P.S. "Night Creatures" by Thunder Power is a great song.
